We got a GOLD at the European Design Awards 2016!

Wow what a great weekend. We at Gagarin won a gold at the European Design Awards 2016 in the category of digital installations, for the exhibition Powering the Future

"The exhibition is located in one of Iceland´s oldest hydro stations, Ljósafossstöð. The occasion of the exhibition was the 50th anniversary of Landsvirkjun, the National Power Company of Iceland.

The aim was to create a highly interactive and modern visitor center where everyone can learn about the basics of the nature of electrical power, the discoveries that led to the mass production of electricity and the development of harnessing renewable energy in Iceland today."

"Two projects received silver award in the same catergory: Google´s visitor center in Dublin andNorthern Lights project for Visit Norway. The type foundry Monotype was furthermore awarded with bronze for their interactive type installation."
